Piet has been involved with the construction industry since 1975. He worked for three of the major construction companies in South Africa (Basil Read, Group 5 & Grinaker-LTA) during this time. He also worked in Indonesia and Nigeria for 8 years. In total he has 32 years construction experience.

He has managed major projects from the design phase, through to construction and to final completion and hand over to clients.

In 2000 he was appointed Area Manager for Grinaker-LTA International and has been in Nigeria for the last 6 years managing construction projects in Port Harcourt and Lagos . During this period Piet served as a Director for Grinaker-LTA.

Piet joined the LiLE Management Team beginning November 2007 where he heads up the Planning & Development Division.
